For anyone who likes to spend their holidays surrounded by the stench of cat and dog excrement, then the decrepit MareVerde complex is the place for you! Stray cats were everywhere and the dog owners were totally irresponsible regarding clearing up after their animals. The poolside sand buckets for cigarette ends even had poo in them which, on a warm day made the place smell really unpleasant and obviously generated a huge amount of flies. We also thought that the Poolside Bar within the complex was quite scary in the evenings, as it seemed to be frequented by a lot of very shifty looking characters.
