Monsters vs. The movie is a Sci-Fi comedy that pays homage to the monster movies of the s, and uses Rule of Cool and Refuge in Audacity to hilarious effect in an almost MAD type of way. The story features an alien villain, the four-eyed Gallaxhar, attacking the United States with a giant robot. After conventional weaponry proves ineffective, a high-ranking general, W. Monger, suggests using the monsters that the government has been capturing for 50 years and keeping in "Area 52" against them.

Susan Murphy also known as Ginormica is one of the main characters in the film Monsters vs. She is a young woman from Modesto. Susan was hit by a meteor filled with "Quantonium", which caused her to grow to 49 feet and 11 inches tall not-quite 50 feet on her wedding day. Exactly how much she can lift is unknown, though she is seen in the movie lifting up the top half of the hand of the massive alien robot for a long period of time - also whilst placing her foot in front of a sliding car at the edge of the broken bridge to stop it from falling in the river. She is also seen breaking the "impenetrable" force field that was holding her captive inside Gallaxhar's spaceship, even breaking through many walls in a charging force. One could think of her as invincible, due to her being resistant to most physical or energy attacks, but the movie's closest demonstration of that is her survival of direct impact from the massive meteorite, presumably due to the Quantonium.

Animation, by the way, is a great fit for her, and for both the crispness and sweetness in her voice. Who else but Seth Rogen could play a lovable blue blob named B. And the laughs keep coming steadily from there. Far more effective is the way this motley crew comes together. On their wedding day, as Susan dreams of honeymooning in Paris and Derek obsesses over an anchor audition in Fresno, a meteor hits Earth, exposing Susan to galactic gloop that turns her into a giant with a shock of white hair.

All the same, that extra inspiration needed to truly knock this one out of the park is noticeably missing. Even if not as many 3-D venues are ready to show the film as Par and DreamWorks had originally anticipated, the heavily promoted picture looks to dominate commercially during the early spring, followed by outsized ancillary returns and a likely sequel. With that out of the way, the pic gets down to the urgent business of sexy Susan voiced by Reese Witherspoon having her wedding to preening TV weatherman Derek Paul Rudd interrupted by a crashing meteor. Infected by its oozy contents, Susan undergoes an alarming growth spurt, stopping just one inch short of the amazing foot woman.
